St. Joachim Children's Centre has been a place that I truly feel is a home away from home.
It is an environment that gives you a big hug when you walk into the room! It is a Centre that has created a sense of belonging by providing enriched programs through the guidance of professional, passionate teachers who love working with children. I observed this as a teacher, supervisor and parent myself, having both my daughter and son at the Centre. It has been an honour to have the opportunity to be part of the growth and success of St. Joachim Children's Centre. Time goes by so fast... wrap yourself in those big hugs and don't let go.

Miss. Grace
Working at St. Joachim has been such a rewarding experience. I have had the opportunity to play multiple roles from being in the program, spending some years as the Centre's cook, and now working in the office welcoming new families and supporting an incredible team of educators, who make this centre a home away from home. As I welcome new families to the Centre, I let them know they are now "officially apart of our family" and those words could not be truer. The Centre, the school, and the community all work together to foster a sense of belonging creating a supportive environment where the children feel valued, connected, and encouraged to grow.
Mrs. Croome
My name is Shannon Croome and I have had the privilege of being apart of St. Joachim Children's Centre for 34 years.
I believe your children are apart of my family who I will guide and support their developmental needs. My attitude as an RECE teacher is to keep on mind that play is a child's most important work. We strive to create and maintain an environment where your child can grow and thrive while exploring the world around them.
Thank you for sharing your precious children with a group of loving and nurturing team of teachers

Mrs. Anelli
I have had the privilege of being apart of St. Joachim Children's Centre for 29 years.
Early childhood education is more than just teaching; it's about nurturing the potential in every child and being there to support their growth in those crucial early years. To be a teacher in this field means being a guide, a listener, and a source of encouragement as children explore, learn, and begin to understand the world around them. I am deeply passionate about helping young children develop not only academically but socially, emotionally, providing them with the tools and confidence they need for a bright future. Watching them grow and knowing I've played a party in their journey is what makes this work so incredibly meaningful to me.
Mrs. Wedlock
Being in the Early Childhood Education field for 20 years has been more than just a job to me - it's a true calling. I'm deeply passionate about helping young children develop the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need to succeed in life. Every day, I have the privilege of witnessing their growth and the joy that comes with their learning. The bonds I form with each child and their families mean the world to me.
I also have the important job of being the preschool chef for the last 4 years. It has brought me so much joy because I get to nourish and care for the children in another meaningful way. Watching their faces light up as they enjoy a meal I've made gives me a sense of fulfillment and purpose It's incredibly rewarding to know that I'm contributing to their well-being and help support their growth and energy throughout the day.

I have been an Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) at St. Joachim's Children's Centre for 13 wonderful years. You can usually find me where the music and dancing take place. I love exploring our neighbourhood, and going on nature walks with the children. I believe there are three teachers at work here, us the educators, the children, and the environment! I love spending my free time with my beautiful family appreciating the little things life has to offer

Mrs. Beth
The joy and love that children bring to the world is what intrigued me to become an educator. I find as much as we are teaching them, they are also teaching and reminding us of things too. The biggest one I've noticed is to slow down and be more present in life. Watching their faces light up as they learn, explore and grow is what makes me love what I do all that much more.
Mrs. McDonald
Hello! I'm Mrs. Mcdonald. I have been an Early Childhood Educator since 2016 and truly love my job. My teaching style is rooted in positivity and creativity, and focused on fostering a supportive and engaging environment where children feel empowered to be themselves and explore the magical world around them. When I'm not at work I enjoy being a foodie, shopping at homesense and spending time in nature with my husband, beautiful daughter and two dogs.
Miss. Catherine
I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for the last six years, and my passion for this field grows stronger each day. There is nothing more fulfilling than creating an environment where children feel a deep sense of belonging, well-being, engagement, and freedom to express who they are. I believe that these early years are crucial for shaping their future, and when a child feels safe, loved, and valued, they thrive. Its my mission to ensure that every child I work with has the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow in a space where they feel seen and heard. It us truly rewarding to be part of such a meaningful stage in a child's life.
Mrs. Weir
I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) in 2000 and since then I have dedicated my life to making a positive impact on children's lives. My passion lies in watching young children grow and learn as each milestone brings joy and excitement. St. Joachim Children's Centre holds a special place in my heart as it has been a vital part of my journey in education. Seeing the happiness on the children's faces and building strong connections with them truly warms my heart and inspires me everyday. I believe that nurturing these young minds is one of the most rewarding experiences I can have.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to experience the world for the first time. Everything is new and exciting, full of wonders. Something that may be as simple as jumping in puddles can be the answer to many questions. Every day is a new adventure, a new challenge to unveil, a discovery about their identity and impact on the world. I feel so fortunate to collaborate with the children and their families and foster that natural curiosity through play. As a new educator, I aspire to continue playing my role in providing a learning environment that encourages children to release their full potential and become the best versions of themselves
Mrs. Heidi
Being apart of St. Joachim Children's Centre is a joyful experience. Each day, I get to watch young children explore the world around them. Their laughter and smiles bring happiness to the classroom. Every small moment brings me so much joy.
