A Big Thank You!
On behalf of our St. Joachim Children's Centre, we would like to extend our sincere thank you for the extremely generous donations that we have collected over the month of December. Your response to this project has been truly inspiring and we are so grateful to be part of this community. Your support has helped us spread our love to those in need and model compassion and empathy for the children in our Centre. From our hearts to yours, thank you so much for your continued support on our journey together with our St. Joachim Children's Centre Family. We would like to wish you warm and happy holiday wishes!
Trip to the Christmas
The children were singing Christmas songs outside so Miss Hannah got her drum and everyone joined in!
Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
Miss Grace made such a yummy Thanksgiving Lunch for everyone! We had turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, a brussel-sprout- sweet potato dish and mini apple crisp cheesecakes for dessert. We are so lucky to have our Miss Grace!!
Find Your Block!
The Centre has set up a block area with pictures of not only the children and teachers but also of places and things the children see when they are on walks or out with their families!
A Special Visit
St. Joachim Children's Centre hosted Tools for Life Corporation Georgia Project Meetings on August 16th. It was a lovely visit, both the staff and children enjoyed showing everyone around the Centre!
Our Summer Programs
The Daycare, JK/SK and PJ Groups have had a super-duper summer!
Miss Grace's Boots
" A group of children noticed a pair of boots in the garbage. They continued to return to the boots and question why they were in there. We decided to retrieve them to take a closer look."
The children came up with different ideas on what to do with Miss Grace's boots. They decided to paint them .... wonder what they will come up with next!?
Happy McHappy Day!
On May 2nd the children got to have McDonalds for lunch! From our lunch we raised $50.00 for the Ronald McDonald House. Happy McHappy Day!!

PA Day Fun
Friday March 2, 2018 the children from all groups had a fun PA Day!
The Daycare group had a beach day. The kids pretended they were in sunny Hawaii and got to wear shorts, t-shirts and sandals and even brought their towels. We had a picnic lunch and teddy bear beach cupcakes.
The JK/SK group had Olympic day to celebrate the ending of the Winter Olympics of 2018. The day was filled with different sports and got to spend both time outside and in the gym.
The School Aged group had a building day. The kids got to build different items and got to take them home. The day ended with some birthday cake popcorn.
Around the World
The children pinned everywhere that they have been with their families and the teachers got to as well. It was fun seeing where everyone has been!!
We would like to fill the map now with pictures of where we have been! If families have any photos of their adventures we will pin them up on our map.
Can you find 20 items?
The children made 20 foot prints which were placed all around the daycare. After doing that they wanted to find more 20 items. They found 10 pairs of boots and learned that 10 + 10 = 20! The children then found 20 little feet. Can we find more 20 items?
